It was announced that Choi Ji Woo’s boyfriend and actor Lee Jin Wook (27) will be enlisting in the army ahead of schedule in May. HB Entertainment expressed through a press release, “Lee Jin Wook will be reporting to the 306 reserve army unit in Euijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province at 1pm on 6th May and receive 6 weeks of basic military training. Thereafter, he will then serve out the remainder of his mandatory national service.” Lee Jin Wook could be bumping into Kim Jung Hoon who is enlisting 1 week earlier than him in the same unit.

HB Entertainment added that the original plan for Lee Jin Wook was to enlist in the latter half of 2009. But Jin Wook had a strong desire to do his national service so he decided to get himself enlisted earlier. Lee Jin Wook spoke through his management company, “Joining the army is something that every fit Korean male must do. So I decided to just go ahead and get myself enlisted. I hope to experience and learn things that I have never done before through the army before returning as a civilian. I believe that guys mature only after they reach 30 and I hope to present a even mature side of me to fans after my military service.” Lee Jin Wook will be having a fan meeting at Han River with his Japanese fans a day before his enlistment and it will be his last official schedule.

I will surely miss him. I hope & pray that he’ll have a safe military service. Many will miss him especially his “special someone” in S. Korea. Come back safe & sound. God bless.
