Son Ye-jin to star in new drama with Lee Min-ho

Posted by diopatra on January 27, 2010

Korean actress Son Ye-jin is set to play the female lead role opposite actor Lee Min-ho in a new MBC drama this coming April, Son’s agency said on Monday.

Barunson Entertainment announced through a press release that the actress has been cast for the role of Park Gae-in, a furniture designer in her late 20s, in the drama tentatively titled “Personal Taste.”

The TV series, to be based on a novel of the same name by Korean writer Lee Se-in, will focus on the story between a woman and man living together, with the woman thinking the man is homosexual.

Son stated, “The reason I chose this role is because this year, I wanted to be a part of a bright and happy drama. I fell in love with the character because she seems confident while lacking in some ways but at the same time charming. Overall, the drama seems light and I feel it will be fun to shoot.”

The 28-year-old actress gained popularity in Asia after appearing in TV series “Summer Scent” and was commended for her role in films “The Classic” and “My Wife Got Married”, both of which she won awards for Best Actress.

K.will to appear at Lee Min Ho’s fan meeting

Posted by diopatra on June 21, 2009

Buddies help each other out right?

Singer K.will (케이윌) will make an appearance at Lee Min-ho’s fan meeting to support his buddy. The singer is now known as Lee Min-ho’s vocal trainer as he helped Min-ho prepare for his first track My Everything (F4 Special Edition album). Technically, it’s Min-ho’s second song attempt but I don’t consider the CASS beer ad digital single real singing.

Boys Before Flowers star Lee Min Ho will hold his first ever fan meeting on 21 June at Dom Art Hall, Children’s Grand Park in Seoul. The party will be called Minoz Happy Day Mini Concert. The fan meeting is timed to coincide with his birthday which falls on 22 June. You can be sure Lee Min Ho will sing My Everything for his fans at the meeting.

So who’s going?

Lee Min Ho, Independent from Boys over Flowers?

Posted by diopatra on June 18, 2009

Pretty boy Lee Min Ho finally had his leg surgery after holding back for so long. Well we can’t blame him since his fame was rising so abruptly after his hit drama “Boys Over Flowers”. Although he was expected to be hospitalized for about two weeks, the pretty boy recovered quickly and was released from the hospital just six days after the surgery!

He hasn’t even had enough rest, and there’s already talks of an upcoming fan meeting. Supposedly, this is his first independent fan meeting of Lee Min Ho ever since all the promotional events with the rest of the F4 boys. It is said to be held at the Seoul Dome Art Hall on the 21st, headlining the event as “Minoz Happy Day Mini Concert.” Looks like this flower boy has blossomed and no longer needs the support of the rest of the crew to hold up the fame.

Lee Min-ho’s been planning his leg surgery for a while now and postponed it once or twice; now he’s finally done it. His management revealed in a phone interview on the 14th that the actor is currently at home recovering after having surgery on June 5. He was expected to spend two weeks in the hospital, but recovered faster than expected and was released on the 11th.

Lee Min-ho was in a fairly serious car accident in 2006, after which metal rods were implanted in his upper right leg and knee. The surgery was to remove the rods, which he explained were manageable in everyday life but made it difficult to take on action sequences as an actor.

Now he’s resting up and preparing for an upcoming fanmeeting (a two-parter) on June 21 at Seoul’s Dome Art Hall, which is timed to match (almost) with his 22nd birthday. (His actual birthday is the following day, June 22.) Lee Min-ho has already participated in fansigning and fan events with his Boys Before Flowers crew, but this will be his first solo fanmeeting, called “Minoz Happy Day Mini Concert.”
