100328 U-KISS in Manila (SM North – Annex)

Posted by diopatra on March 28, 2010

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

just got home from the last leg of U-KISS promo tour @ SM North Annex. seriously got an overdose of the boys especially soo hyun fanservice. he’s such a flirt (in a good way) and he really knows what makes the fangirls faint. actually someone fainted on our side of the event hall where soohyun doing his fanservice.

i was too starstrucked with the boys that i cant take a decent video or picture. sorry about that i have nothing to share because i got all giddy and almost fainting everytime the boys faces our side of the event hall.

i think the boys had a great time here. they are all smiling despite of fatigue im sure. but really they are super nice especially soo hyun. when there no one infront of him during the fan signing he goes to the crowd and get their album and sign it. kevin is supposed to be my fave but i think im shipping to soohyun.

i was so envious of the little girl who was able to sit on ELI’s lap. dont need to hate her be cause she’s only about 9 or 10 years old.

funny thing is the organizer keep reminding the fans that no hugging no kissing, but the boys are the one initiating the kinship.

i think one reason why everyone had fun was, the boys can directly communicate with us, since they are fluent in english. no need for translator.

my feet felt numb, had a sorethroat, starved and had an overdose…………. of U-KISS, but its all worth it. looking forward for their concert on May 29

FTIsland to perform in Manila

Posted by diopatra on February 8, 2010

MANILA, Philippines – Rising South Korean boy band FTIsland (FTI) performs at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) on March 6.

SpinManila, Inc., an events and concerts company brings the first all-out live KPop music experience to the Philippine stage.

FTIsland Manila 2010 Showcase is a two-part limited engagement for devoted FTI fans, a.k.a. “Primadonnas.” Just before the boys hit the center stage, 50 lucky Filipino “Primadonnas” will have a chance to get up-close with the FTIsland members in an exclusive fan meet.

The Manila showcase is part of the popstars’ major Asian tour that started last month in Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

FTIsland is short for “Five Treasure Island” where each member is considered a treasure. The group started in 2007 and its members are Lee Hong Ki, Choi Jong Hoon (leader, guitar, keyboard), Choi Min Hwan (drums), Song Seung Hyun (guitar, vocal, rap) and Lee Jae Jin (bass, vocal rap).

Touted by Arirang as “Korea’s one and only idol band with a combination of talent and skills,” FTIsland’s members not only sing and dance but play their own instruments as well. Their debut album Cheerful Sensibility earned the sixth slot in South Korea’s best-selling albums in 2007.

Their leader, Choi Jong Hoon plays the piano and the guitar. Lee Hong Ki is the group’s lead vocalist. Bassist Lee Jae Jin became popular when he was cast in a prominent role in the drama Unstoppable Marriage. The youngest in the group, Choi Min Hwan plays the drums. Song Seung Hyun is FTIsland’s latest member, having replaced former member Oh Won Bin.

Their first album Cheerful Sensibility has 13 songs divided into two parts, the Emotional Chapter that is more inclined to rock ballad and FTIsland Chapter that includes upbeat pop and rock songs. The debut sold around 80,000 copies, making it the sixth best-selling album of 2007 in Korea. They won more music awards within their debut year, which includes Best New Male Group in M.Net/KM Music Festival and Best New Group in Asia Song Festival.

The FTIsland Manila 2010 Showcase is sponsored by SpinManila, Inc. and fangirlasia.com, co-presented by Datzentertainment, FNC Music and North Park Group of Companies. Media partners are MYX, the official music channel, U92 and Jam 88.3.

Ticket prices are P2,500, P3,500 and P5,000. Ticketing is open at http://www.ftislandmanila.com and http://www.fangirlasia.com.

100207 4minute experience in Manila

Posted by diopatra on February 8, 2010

[FANCAM] Hot Issue

[FANCAM] Muzik

[FANCAM] Stick with you (cover)

[FANCAM] Hot Issue Remix

*post fancam of “Won’t Give You” and “What a girl wants” later.

just come home from 4minute meet and greet in SM North Edsa Annex.

i had a blast. the girls were great on their performance, and they all look gorgeous.

im really bias fan of jiyoon, gawd, she looks great.

after seeing their tv appearance, i feel sorry for them. i assume that 4minute-ph were not able to enter the studio since almost no one cheering for them.

first on a noontime gameshow last saturday, were almost audience are adults, only kpop group they know is wonder girls.

and a noontime variety show today. cant see any 4minute fans cheering. audience cheering on cue. well atleast the hosts are a bit better.

so when i went to meet and greet i really cheer for them. the audience response on their mall tours is better. fans are screaming their name, singing and dancing while their performing. i hope they feel more welcome.

and seen other kpop FC’s on the event giving support to the girls. Well at least seen fellow members of SJUPH.

a bit disappointment on the MCs of the event, comparing them to Super Junior. Saying that 4minute surpasses super junior on sales. not sure what sales are they talking about, is it the over all sales or the monthly sales. if its the over all sales, i really doubt it. but if its the monthly sales, the super junior were release last month. and they were no. 1 upon release and still on the chart. one thing is not also sure is, what super junior are they talking about, is it the suju’s sorry sorry album or the suju-m album?

promoters, organizers and other people behind the event should put in mind that this (kpop) is different from others. other FCs are also there, so saying something like that would destroy the artist your promoting. they should be more careful next time and research more on the artist.

all in all its a great experience and wish they comeback next time for a concert.

100206 4minute @ Wowowee

Posted by diopatra on February 6, 2010

the girls did a great job on their performance.

as expected the audience so stiff. majority of the audience are adults, and never heard of 4minute. im sure most of them, the only kpop group they know is wonder girls.

why am i defending those people, they hardly cheer even on local artist.

as for the host, she should atleast made sure to pronounce their name properly, but then what can you expect of Mariel.

hope they were more welcomed by fans on their mall tour. i was not able to attend in megamall, but i’ll make to be in SM north edsa tomorrow.
